Although 4-star Torrance (CA) North athlete Mique Juarez is currently being listed as a dual-threat quarterback, the Michigan Wolverines could offer him in hopes of bringing him in as a linebacker in 2016.
Per Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247, "Juarez committed to USC on January 25th, but he's considered a soft commitment and is open to other programs. Notre Dame offered him a scholarship recently, and he also holds offers from UCLA, Washington, BYU and Cal among others."
That open attitude towards his commitment could benefit the Wolverines, according to Lorenz, who expects Jim Harbaugh to throw the program's name in the hat in the race for the talented Juarez.
Ranked as the #3 dual-threat quarterback in the country by 247Sports (and the #108 player overall), Harbaugh could also look to the 6-2, 210 pound standout as a backup plan if the current crop of Zach Gentry and Alex Malzone doesn't pan out as expected. However, it's much more likely that Michigan targets him as a linebacker and leaves it there.
Stay tuned.
