Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson announced plans to transfer for his fifth season of eligibility today, and the Michigan Wolverines are one of the teams that have already contacted him to gauge his interest in the program, according to 247sports.
Michigan already added one graduate transfer quarterback this offseason in former Iowa QB Jake Rudock, but Golson would be an immediate upgrade over everyone the Wolverines have competing for the position.
Golson has not said whether or not he'd be interested in Michigan, but he's been mostly linked to LSU, Texas, and Florida State.
Since he is a graduate transfer, Golson is eligible to play immediately next season.
