The Michigan Wolverines added a huge piece to their 2016 recruiting class this afternoon by picking up a commitment from five-star offensive lineman Ben Bredeson (Hartland, WI).
Notre Dame was believed to be the leader for Bredeson at one point, but a recent visit to Ann Arbor put the Wolverines on top. According to 247sports, Bredeson called Jim Harbaugh on Wednesday to make things official.
Bredeson has been Michigan's top overall target on the offensive line in the 2016 class, and joins four-star commits Erik Swenson and Michael Onwenu on the line.
Bredeson is ranked as the 29th overall prospect in the 2016 class, and is the first five-star prospect to commit to the Wolverines since Jabrill Peppers in the 2014 class.
