Michigan defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin visited 2016 four-star defensive end Isaiah Chambers (Houston, TX) last week, a prospect they are making a top priority.
"Coach Durkin came and talked to my coaches for a bit," Chambers said via 247sports. "He told them that they need pass rushers on the edge and that I am one of the top players on their board. He wants me to come visit and told them that Michigan is the type of place that you could feel comfortable leaving home for."
Chambers has offers from all the major Texas powers other than Texas, and while many recruiting experts think he'll stay in-state, Chambers said he really likes that the Wolverines are making him feel like a priority.
"I have been calling them once a week," he said. "I feel like I am high on their board, and for that reason I have high interest in them as well. I am willing to leave where I am from if the circumstances are right, and Michigan is one of those schools I am looking at. I am hoping to visit them sometime this summer, and will be attending their camp in Houston in June as well."
Chambers is currently ranked as they 98th overall prospect in the class of 2016.
