2016 five-star Hartland (WI) Arrowhead offensive lineman Ben Bredeson had yet another enjoyable visit to Ann Arbor over the weekend, and it is looking more and more like the Michigan Wolverines are one of two finalists with a legitimate shot to land the coveted 2016 standout.
Per Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, "all the intel says it will be the Wolverines or the (Notre Dame Fighting) Irish. I wouldn't be surprised if a decision was made in the next couple weeks."
That runs counter to the conventional mode of thought over the past few months that the in-state Wisconsin Badgers have the distinct edge to land his pledge.
Michigan has reportedly built a level of trust with Bredeson that has continued to flourish over recent weeks, perhaps displacing the Badgers at or near the top of his list.
However, as Wiltfong points out, "Notre Dame is also at the top of the list for Bredeson, his relationship with offensive line coach Harry Hiestand being one of the major factors."
While no announcement date has been set, there's a good chance Bredeson could make his choice within the next few weeks, according to multiple recruiting service reports.
