The Wolverines are already making moves towards a big 2016 recruiting class, and they received another boost this week when OLB Jonathan Jones named Michigan his leader.
Jones is a three-star outside linebacker out of Oak Ridge HS in Orlando, FL., and his ranking has been on the rise after a strong junior season. The player received his Michigan offer on February 5, and the Wolverines immediately jumped to the top of his list. Jones now has offers on the table from Michigan, Miami, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech & over a dozen others (more are rolling in on a daily basis, with South Carolina offering him Wednesday), but it sounds like the Wolverines are definitely leading the pack at this stage.
Michigan has two 2016 commits on board already - 4-Star OT Erik Swenson and 3-Star ILB Dele Harding have already pledged their signatures to Jim Harbaugh's Wolverines. Harbaugh is casting a wide net in his 2016 recruiting efforts, and in addition to Central Florida, UM is looking at players from Los Angeles to New Jersey and everywhere in between.
