Three-star 2016 Phoenix (AZ) Brophy Prep defensive end Connor Murphy has grown up around new Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh, after Harbaugh coached his older brother, Trent, at Stanford.
After receiving an offer from Harbaugh and his coaching staff, Murphy told 247Sports that Harbaugh has played a parental role for him.

"I look at Coach Harbaugh as a father figure," Murphy said. "He actually babysat me when he was on the in-home visit for my brother back in the day. He ended up spending most of the time with my aunt and I because my mom was in the hospital expecting to have a baby. In that regard, you could say that I go back a long ways with Coach because of times like that and the relationship he's developed with my family and my brother."
Although Murphy is schedule to make a visit to Ann Arbor, he's not ready to commit at this time.
"I don't know a lot about Michigan outside of Coach Harbaugh being there," he said. "I'm really excited to learn more about them at this point, and they're definitely going to be in it until the end. I just wouldn't say they're automatically my leader at this point."
