National Signing Day is less than a week away, and new Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh has already made plenty of in turning a sketchy 2015 recruiting class right around. We all know about the big commitments like four-star QB Zach Gentry's flip from Texas to UM, but what else is coming down the turnpike? Find out as we present to you our Michigan Football Recruiting: Rumors Roundup For Thursday 1/29.
Elite 2015 WR Van Jefferson to visit Ann Arbor this weekend
If last impressions are the best impressions, the Michigan Wolverines have a great shot at flipping four-star wide receiver (and Detroit native) Van Jefferson.
Jefferson originally committed to Georgia early in his recruitment process, but flipped to Ole Miss last week. However, after telling Wolverine247 that he'll be in Ann Arbor this weekend, one can't help but think that he has one more flip in him.
The talented wideout garnered some interest with former coach Brady Hoke at the helm, but was never offered a scholarship because of a belief that he wanted to play collegiate ball down south. However, with Harbaugh in charge, the whole game appears to have been changed.
Michigan offers four-star 2016 DE Quayshon Alexander
Just because the Michigan football coaching staff is focused on strengthening this year's class, doesn't mean that they don't have their eyes on the prizes making the jump in 2016.
It's been confirmed that the Wolverines have offered four-star Wayne (NJ) DePaul Catholic defensive end Quayshon Alexander, joining the ranks of Miami, Pitt, and his hometown Rutgers.
While Rutgers appears to have the edge at the moment, the increasing marketability of the Michigan program under Harbaugh could very well play a factor as his recruitment goes on.
Coaches feel "great" about four-star tight end Chris Clark
Both Jim Harbaugh and passing game coordinator Jedd Fisch made an in-home stop to see four-star tight end Chris Clark, making their final bid at getting him back into the fray for the 2015 recruiting class.
Per Clint Brewster of 247Sports, "Wolverine247 spoke with a direct source about the visit and we were told that the coaches feel "great" about Clark at this time and the visit couldn't have gone any better."
Michigan coaches are confident that Clark will choose the Wolverines when he decides on ESPNU next Tuesday, especially with his parents pushing him to head to Ann Arbor over his other finalist, UCLA.
