The Harbaugh train keeps rolling...here's the latest in the Michigan recruiting world, as of 1/6...
Damon Arnette
The Wolverines have officially offered the three-star South Carolina commit, who plans to make an official visit to Ann Arbor on January 16. 247 Sports rates Arnette as the 56th-best cornerback in the Class of 2015, and he'll also take official visits to South Carolina and Ohio State before national signing day on February 4.
Charles Omenihu
While Arnette isn't a new name for those that closely follow UM recruiting, Omenihu is more of a surprise - the Wolverines have also extended an offer to the Texas commit, a defensive end who 247 rates as a four-star prospect. Omenihu only has one remaining visit scheduled (to Texas), but there's still plenty of time for that to change.
Two Players Enroll
Four-star WR Brian Cole and four-star QB Alex Malzone have both enrolled early, and will start classes Wednesday. For more on the two, MGoBlue has a nice, brief writeup.
Kyle Bosch to Transfer
Bosch, a four-star OT from the 2013 recruiting class, will transfer from Michigan after meeting with Jim Harbaugh today. Per The Sporting News:
Bosch said his meeting with Harbaugh produced two options: stay with the program with stipulations (he did not say what they were) or transfer.
“They were shocked and a lot of people were disappointed that I was leaving,” Bosch said of informing his teammates of the news. “I love all of them very, very much. I saw a lot of my teammates for the first time since I left in September. There were a lot of hugs and tears and it was a shock to everyone.
Bosch had a rocky relationship with coaches from the beginning at Michigan, and disputes over playing time landed him in Brady Hoke's doghouse. While it looks like he expected a clean slate under Harbaugh, he clearly didn't get one, and he'll be playing football elsewhere as a result.
