The Michigan football staff has been working against the clock over the past week - with just six 2015 commits when Jim Harbaugh took over and under a month remaining before national signing day on February 4, the Wolverines need to make some serious moves in short order to turn their incoming class around.
With the holiday dead period over, Harbaugh can really get down to business...here's the latest as of Monday, 1/5
Vince Marrow stays at Kentucky
Marrow is a recruiting wizard with strong ties to Big 10 country (at least 1/3 of Kentucky's last two recruiting classes came from Ohio), and the Wolverines were reportedly very interested in hiring him away from the Wildcats for Jim Harbaugh's staff.
Kentucky had no interest in losing Marrow, though - Wildcats HC Mark Stoops knows how instrumental he was to their return to respectability, and they've reportedly reached a deal that'll keep him in Lexington for the forseeable future.
Four-Star TE Chris Clark
The #2 TE in the 2015 class told 247 Sports that "a part of me that feels UCLA is going to be the place for me," (he's narrowed his choices to UCLA & Michigan), but remember, he also predicted that Vince Marrow would end up in Ann Arbor...so maybe we shouldn't go too crazy about this latest prediction.
Five-Star CB Iman Marshall
Marshall is reportedly a top target for Jim Harbaugh, along with former RB commit Mike Weber and five-star DE Keisean Lucier-South. The #1 CB in the 2015 class, Marshall is leaning strongly toward local option USC (he attends Long Beach Poly), but still has a few other visits scheduled (he'll travel to Florida State on January 16).
Five-Star DE Keisean Lucier-South
Unlike Marshall, Lucier-South has had real interest in Michigan for some time. 247's scouts seem to think he'll pick UCLA, with 54% predicting he'll land there...but UM is in second with 23% of the vote. Lucier-South had an excellent showing at the US Army All-American Bowl, with scouts raving about his potential. Landing Lucier, another California native, would immediately tell other recruits who've been keeping an eye on Michigan that Harbaugh means business.
