Three-star Delray Beach (FL) Atlantic 2016 cornerback Antwaine Richardson has decided to join the fray in Ann Arbor, committing to Michigan football on Friday.
"I talked a lot with (2015 Michigan commit and fellow Atlantic product) Shelton Johnson and my coaches after I was offered by Michigan and it's the right place for me," Richardson told 247Sports. "I'm going to get a great education and a chance to play for some of the best coaches in the country."
Richardson and Johnson may not be the only Atlantic stars on their way to U of M.
"A teammate of mine already told me he wants to follow Shelton and I to Michigan," Richardson said. "Our coaches like the way they run their program and believe it's a great all around program to be a part of."
While he's more used to playing as a tradition cover corner, Richardson says that he's excited to learn how to be "more aggressive" under new Michigan defensive coordinator DJ Durkin.
"At the camp I wasn't used to what they like to play at corner but the more I learned it during camp, the more I liked playing it," he said. "I want to learn to be a more aggressive player and I can do that under Coach Durkin and Coach Zordich."
