Michigan announces TE Khalid Hill suffered torn ACL in practice this week, out for season
— Brett McMurphy (@McMurphyESPN) October 11, 2014
"Khalid Hill will miss the rest of the 2014 season after tearing his ACL during practice this week," coach Brady Hoke said in a released statement, via the Detroit Free Press. "This is an unfortunate situation for Khalid, and he will be missed on the field. We will support him through this process and look forward to his return."
Hill had started four of the Wolverines' six contests in 2014, catching four passes for 37 yards. With Jake Butt having returned, Michigan is still set at the top of their depth chart in regards to the tight end position.
However, Michigan can't afford many more injuries as they try to pull themselves into bowl eligibility over the next few weeks.
