Chris Singletary, a former Michigan football player who worked as the program's recruiting coordinator and director of player personnel, is no longer a part of the Wolverines' staff, according to a 247Sports report.
Michigan football spokesperson David Ablauf did not respond to reporter's inquiries when questioned about Singletary's status.
Singletary, 40, was hired back in 2007 to help with recruiting under then-head coach Lloyd Carr. He moved up to recruiting coordinator under Rich Rodriguez and director of player personnel under Brady Hoke, and he was the lone holdover from Hoke's adminstrative staff to have worked directly with coaches.
After Hoke was fired on December 2nd, Singletary was the program's recruiting representative on the road visiting prospects and helped the Wolverines complete the transition when Jim Harbaugh was hired.
While there's no information yet on the circumstances surrounding Singletary's departure, stay tuned to the Michigan football team page and we'll keep you updated.
