Michigan Football - A Taste of Royalty

I am sorry to announce that I selfishly vacated my spot in the student section yesterday, but it was only for the greater good.  I got the epic hookup and was seated on the 27 yard line, row 12!  Eventhough I was not able to help with the student section noise, as I predicted in my previous article the stadium was much more rowdy than last weeks route of SDSU.

This week, the students showed up fashionably late as always.  It was not until midway through the first quarter that the student section really filled up, but they sure did bring the noise (at least for the first half).  The loudest student section moment of the game was Vincent Smith's touchdown throw to Drew Dileo.

Where are the students at???

As it became clear that this game was going to be a blowout close to the end of the second quarter, roughly 25% of the students left the stadium.  When I questioned other students for leaving the game early, most cited looming midterms as an excuse to leave the game.  The rest of the game went on pretty quietly, but fans were buzzing in excitement at the opportunity to finally see Devin Gardener get some real snaps.  Gaardener looked great, and was noticeably comfortable with the Brady Hoke pro-style offense.

Next weekend the #12 Wolverines travel to Evanston for the first road game of the season.   I expect that the Wolverines will come out strong next week, and should be a handful for the Wildcats.    Expect next weekend in Ann Arbor to be a quite one, but it is about to get crazy in the entire state of Michigan when we go on the road the following week to East Lansing.
