Michigan's coaching search continues to roll on...let's take a look at the latest info to hit the rumor mill on Wednesday:
LES MILES
Scout.com was the first to report that Michigan reached out to Les Miles' agent on Tuesday, with other outlets jumping in to confirm soon after. Miles has been a person of interest in both of Michigan's last two coaching searches, but ended up returning to LSU both times...so it's still a little early to say a deal is in the works. There's no word on how serious Les would be about taking the job, but he's still someone to keep a close eye on as things progress.

JIM HARBAUGH
Harbaugh is still Michigan's number one choice - that hasn't changed. What has changed, though, is their optimism about getting a deal done - Harbaugh seemingly would rather stay in the NFL than return to college, and Michigan won't wait for Harbaugh forever if they think he's likely to turn them down. It sounds like patience is wearing thin after Harbaugh has repeatedly refused to confirm or deny his interest in the position, but the number of boosters and decision-makers who want him in Ann Arbor are currently overruling those who'd like the search to move on.

JIM MORA
The UCLA head coach is tough to get a read on - some people we've talked to say he's a definite candidate for the job, and he's looking to leave Los Angeles in the near future, while others believe his interest is a smokescreen designed to get him a raise and an extension at UCLA. We've contacted a few people in Los Angeles who might know more, but haven't heard anything definitive.

GARY PINKEL
Pinkel is 185-103-3 in 24 seasons at the NCAA level, and Michigan reportedly has him on their shortlist. We haven't heard much about Pinkel since last week, when a source close to him told us he'd be very interested in the job, and we're inclined to believe things are on hold until Michigan gets a definitive answer from Harbaugh and/or Les Miles.

DAVID CUTCLIFFE
Somehow, Michigan casually reaching out to Cutcliffe's agent to gauge his interest in the job turned into "DAVID CUTCLIFFE REJECTS MICHIGAN" headlines across the internet. Cutcliffe is supposedly on the lower end of Michigan's list, and they were only doing due diligence by contacting his agent...so it looks like this one is a non-starter, unless half a dozen or so other names fall through.
