Michigan Coaching Search: Jim Harbaugh Coaching Odds Suspended After Avalanche Of Bets

Michigan's coaching search is starting to heat up, and Vegas is starting to take notice. Sportsbook.com announced Saturday morning that Jim Harbaugh 2015 coaching odds (the odds given on where Harbaugh ends up next year, not the odds on who coaches Michigan next) were suspended after a flurry of bets on Michigan moved UM from 8-1 to 2-1 on Friday afternoon.

Michigan isn't just looking at Harbaugh to fill their coaching vacancy, but it's an open secret that the former Wolverines QB is UM's #1 choice to replace Brady Hoke. On Friday, Harbaugh received a major endorsement from former Wolverines HC Lloyd Carr.

Harbaugh's situation in San Francisco is still very much up in the air, and the earliest he could become available is after the NFL regular season ends on December 28. There are still plenty of insiders (including ESPN's Adam Schefter) who believe Harbaugh would rather stay in the NFL than return to a college job if he does part ways with the 49ers. Still, it looks like Michigan (and the sports bettors of the world) aren't giving up hope just yet.
