The Michigan Wolverines head to Rutgers, looking to end a two game losing streak as well as secure their first Big Ten victory of the season.
After trading field goals through the first quarter, Michigan took the lead on a Devin Gardner touchdown run early in the second.
Rutgers answered a few minutes later, jumping back on top with an 80 yard touchdown from quarterback Gary Nova to receiver Andrew Turzilli.
A failed fake punt by Rutgers gave Michigan the ball in Rutgers territory, setting up a go-ahead touchdown by De'Veon Smith.
With the ball back, Nova led another Rutgers scoring drive late in the half, throwing his second touchdown of the game to give the Scarlett Knights the lead once again.
Biggest Play: Rutgers scored an 80 yard touchdown on a catch and run by receiver Turzilli, giving them the lead midway through the second quarter.
That play was the longest of the night for either team, and accounted for almost a third of Rutgers total first half yardage.
Biggest Surprise: Michigan's running game has put together just 66 yards on the ground. In 2014, they have averaged 185 yards rushing per game.
Michigan Key Player: Devin Gardner - 10/15, 149 yards, 15 rushing yards and a touchdown
Rutgers Key Player: Gary Nova - 14/25, 282 yards, two touchdowns
Who Has the Edge?
The first half played out pretty equal for both teams, though Rutgers may have the slight edge in a close game heading to the second half. Michigan's offense has been almost non-existent in the second half over their last two games, scoring just seven combined points.
