An era came to an end today.
ESPN announced that sideline reporter Erin Andrews is leaving after spending 9 years with the company.
Andrews reached previously unseen fame as a sideline reporter while at ESPN, covering college basketball and football and participating in Dancing With The Stars on ABC.
But fret not sports fans, as one door closes another opens.
There is widespread speculation that the leading suitor for Andrews is Fox Sports. Fox, which has recently inked deals to broadcast Pac-12 and Big 12 football, could continue to add to its college football broadcast team if they are able to lure Andrews. The network also employs play calling sensation Gus Johnson.
If Fox is able to pair Andrews and Johnson, the Pac-12 could immediately become equally as exciting as SEC football.
