After months of speculation, ridiculous rumors by NFL 'Insiders' and sheer lunacy, what Chat Sports was first to report on December 19th is now 100% official - - Jim Harbaugh is the head football coach at Michigan.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Michigan officials have told the program's biggest boosters that a deal is done, with Harbaugh to be formally introduced tomorrow:
Michigan has told its biggest boosters a deal for Jim Harbaugh is done and a press conference is scheduled for Tuesday, per sources.

Harbaugh will be introduced at an early press conference in Ann Arbor on Tuesday, and will be given the chance to address the crowd at halftime of Michigan's 3pm basketball vs. Illinois on Tuesday afternoon.
This announcement has the chance to drastically alter the balance of power in college football, with the Big Ten arguably having 2 of the best 3 coaches in college football (Harbaugh and Urban Meyer, along with Nick Saban) at the helm of it's two most storied programs.
For the first time in 8 years, the Big Ten will likely be the conference that garners the most attention in college football next season, with Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Nebraska and Penn State having incredibly compelling story lines headed into 2015.
But, no school or coach will garner more attention this entire off-season and into next season as Harbaugh. Harbaugh's resume' is perhaps unlike any other college coach in history:
- College All-American Qb and 3rd in the Heisman voting in 1986 at Michigan
- 14 year NFL career at QB, with 1 Pro Bowl appearance
- 12-1 2010 record and BCS bowl victory at Stanford
- 3 NFC Championship game and 1 Super Bowl appearance with 49ers
What other coach can say this to a recruit?: "I won as a coach in college, I won as a coach in the NFL, I was a star player in college and the NFL, oh, and some of the best players in the NFL (Richard Sherman, Andrew Luck, Coby Fleener) are my guys from Stanford - come play for me at Michigan and you will know what it takes to be an NFL star."
