Four-star Baltimore (Md.) Gilman offensive tackle Devery Hamilton has vaulted to the top ranks of many recruiting analysts' big boards over the past few months. That's great news for Michigan football, as Hamilton announced his commitment to Wolverines on Wednesday.
Hamilton was considered a heavy Stanford lean by most recruiting services, but that's no matter to Michigan now as the 6-foot-6, 290-pounder has become the 19th commit of Jim Harbaugh's top-ten 2016 recruiting class.
"Really just sitting down with my parents and talking with my coaches," Hamilton said of how he came to his decision.
“Last night I decided it was the right decision for me.”
247Sports Composite rankings list Hamilton as the nation’s #23 offensive tackle and #233 overall prospect. He visited Michigan back in April, ultimately choosing Ann Arbor as his destination over the aforementioned Stanford and fellow finalist Maryland.
