The Michigan Wolverines are currently the No. 2 team in the 2016 recruiting class, according to Rivals.com. Only Ole Miss is ahead of the Wolverines and that might not remain the case for long. Michigan and head coach Jim Harbaugh are still in the mix for several talented recruits and landing a few of them could result in Michigan finishing with the top recruiting class in the nation. We've compiled the top seven players Michigan is chasing and ranked them by their overall standing. With that in mind, here are 7 Superstar Football Recruits Michigan Can Land To Secure The Nation’s Best 2016 Recruiting Class
7. Jonathan Jones, LB
The Wolverines need to add an inside linebacker and it just might end up being Jones. He's the No. 19 ILB in the nation and Michigan is competing heavily with Notre Dame at this point, with Duke also in the mix. He'd be a great fit for new coordinator Don Brown. With Michigan's need, the chance to see the field early could lure Jones to Ann Arbor.
6. Jean Delance, OT
Delance hails from Texas and Harbaugh is going to have to compete with Charlie Strong and Texas for Delance. LSU is also in the mix, with Delance set to commit Jan. 2nd. The Wolverines need help at tackle and they want Delance bad. He's the No. 8 OT and the No. 155 overall player.
5. Dylan Crawford, WR
Crawford hails from California and is the No. 25 WR in this year's class. He checks in at No. 115 overall and the Wolverines are battling Oregon, Stanford and Miami (FL) for his services. Michigan's 2016 class is solid at WR, but Crawford would make it incredible.
4. David Long, CB
Long checks in at No. 94 overall and the No. 8 CB. He was committed to Stanford, but recently decommitted. It's down to Michigan and Washington for his services. The Huskies are getting Long's last visit, since he's already visited Michigan. It's going to be a battle for Long, with the Wolverines slightly ahead, for now.
3. Terrance Davis, OG
Davis is a Top 50 recruit and the second best guard. Davis has said many times that Michigan is his top choice, and the Wolverines should end up adding him to their already impressive class.
2. Isaac Nauta, TE
Nauta is the No. 18 overall player and the best TE in the nation. He'll commit Jan. 9th at the USA Army All-American Bowl, but Georgia is considered the favorite to land him. If Michigan can steal Nauta, he'd be the perfect replacement for Jake Butt.
1. Rashan Gary, DT
This shouldn't be a surprise, since Gary is the nation's best recruit. It's not over yet, but Michigan is the favorite to land Gary. He'd be their first ever No. 1 overall recruit and could make an immediate impact on the defensive line. If the Wolverines land Gary, he could vault them into the top spot in the 2016 recruiting class.
