Michigan Wolverines star Jabrill Peppers was one of the best players in the country this past season and is one of the most notable prospects in the 2017 NFL Draft, but is a bit of a wild card. He's a bit of a tweener (5-11, 213 lbs.) who played linebacker in college and will be making the transition to safety in the pros. Because of that, some teams are shying away from him - but here are the three teams that are the most likely to draft him:
1) Dallas Cowboys
With Barry Church and J.J. Wilcox gone, the Cowboys need a new strong safety. That's what Peppers is going to be in the NFL. He still needs work in coverage, but the presence of Byron Jones helps that. He will also be a major upgrade in Dallas' run defense and give them a dynamic returner.
2) Green Bay Packers
Green Bay's secondary needs upgrades all over the place. It's the biggest weakness that kept them from advancing to the Super Bowl last year, and while cornerback is a bigger need than safety, Peppers is enough of a game-breaker that the Packers could pull the trigger. Plus, he also has the ability to play some corner - and the Packers could even use him some at running back. Peppers is an intriguing option who should be near the top of Green Bay's draft board.

3) New York Jets
This may be a bit of reach at No. 6, so the Jets would likely either trade back in the first round or acquire a second pick later in the round, but Peppers' draft stock is back on the rise and he would be a good fit in New York's defense. Peppers could be a hybrid of Tyrann Mathieu and Deone Bucannon, both players head coach Todd Bowles coached in Arizona. He's an impact player for a defense that could use some more, and Bowles would make the most of his versatility.
