The Michigan Wolverines had a very successful Early Signing Period, signing 16 of their 21 commitments to secure their place as the No. 14 recruiting class in the country. However, recruiting the 2018 class isn't done with traditional signing day on Feb. 7 still looming. Five players (LB, Otis Reese, QB Kevin Doyle, CB Vincent Gray, ATH Michael Barrett, WR Ronnie Bell) are all currently committed and have yet to sign, but here are three currently uncommitted prospects they can still land:
3) OT Jarrett Patterson - 35 percent chance to sign
Michigan and UCLA are probably tied at the forefront of Patterson's recruitment with Arizona State close behind (Patterson is from California), but the Wolverines have reason to feel confident in their chances to land him. The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder isn't a blue-chip prospect (No. 367 overall prospect, according to the 247sports Composite), but he's someone who will provide immediate depth where ever he ends up and should be a starter within a year or two.
2) WR JaMarr Chase - 5 percent chance to sign
Chase is the No. 15 wide receiver and No. 84 overall prospect in the country, yet it will be a surprise if LSU lets the Metairie, LA native get out of state. He's a great deep threat and should be a good return man at the Power 5 level - but, unfortunately, it does not appear that he will be suiting up for the Wolverines. TCU and Florida are the biggest threats to steal him from LSU.
1) OT Nicholas Petit-Frere - 10 percent chance to sign
Petit-Frere is the No. 2 offensive tackle in the country and would help sure up Michigan's offensive line long-term. He's a great athlete with excellent strength and good feet, along with being effective both pass blocking and run blocking. Florida is the current favorite for the Tampa native, and he is also considering Alabama and Notre Dame along with the Wolverines.
