The Michigan Wolverines just finished the first true recruiting class of Jim Harbaugh's tenure as head coach and it was a good one. While the 2016 class was only wrapped up a few days ago, the Wolverines have already started working on their 2017 class.
Harbaugh is still building Michigan the way he wants to, which means he is still working on getting the types of players he wants. He's still using players from the previous regime. While much of Michigan's 2017 class will just be focused on getting talented players that fit with what Harbaugh wants, there are few positions the Wolverines must address. With that in mind, here are the 3 Biggest Team Needs For Michigan In The 2017 Recruiting Class:
3. Running Back
The Wolverines are going to hope that Kareem Walker is the answer as a starter in 2018, but the team will still need to add more depth. The top four running backs from last season will all be gone by next season, so Michigan will need to find some new bodies to help replace them.
2. Linebacker
Michigan added a few linebackers in the 2016 cycle, but it will be a position of need again next year. Michigan was senior and junior heavy at LB this season, which means the Wolverines will have to target that position. 1. Offensive Line
Michigan signed three offensive linemen in 2016, fewer than the team wanted. Michigan loses only two seniors on the two-deep this year, but lose four next year. For a position already thin on depth, that's not a good thing. The Wolverines are going to have to add many linemen, and signing five or six is a real possibility.
