FORT WORTH, Texas — Billed as a matchup between touted Michigan and Nevada prep teams, a Saturday's matchup at Dickies Arena effectively turned out as a battle between Michigan State and Michigan basketball recruits.
Spartans fans can go to bed a bit happier about their future on the court after the nightcap of the Battle Basketball Showcase, a 79-74 overtime win for Ypsilanti Prep Academy over Air Nado (Nevada).
Air Nado was led by Frankie Collins, a four-star Michigan commit who had 28 points and three rebounds. Emoni Bates, a five-star Michigan State commit, had 19 points.
