EAST LANSING – From 6-foot-2, 164 pounds and one high-major offer in 2012 to 6-4, 190 and a crucial role for Michigan State this fall, Eron Harris described himself Tuesday as “the epitome of a late bloomer.”
And that 164 was in a full sweatsuit, by the way. The 2012 Indianapolis Lawrence North product and West Virginia transfer can finally put on public display a game that drew raves last season as he aided a Final Four run from the scout team.
“I’m gonna be a dog out there on defense,” said Harris, who scored 17.2 points a game as a sophomore at in 2013-14 at West Virginia, the one high-major school that offered him a scholarship.
