EAST LANSING - Jake Linhart’s goal 1:34 into overtime gave No. 18 Wisconsin a 4-3 victory over the Michigan State hockey team in a back-and-forth game on Saturday night at Munn Ice Arena. The Spartans scored twice in the second period to take a 2-1 lead, but the Badgers responded with two of their own in the third to pull ahead. Brennan Sanford sent the game to the extra session by getting the tying goal with just over a minute to go in regulation.
“We played with more consistency up and down our lineup tonight,” MSU head coach Tom Anastos said.
