It’d be easy to start with the doubters, because Lord knows Draymond Green had plenty of them. Maybe has plenty of them still.
But let’s not, because, at this point, to say doubters are why Green is one game away from back-to-back NBA championships would be cliché. Besides, Green doesn’t need us to keep writing his story as the plucky underdog.
We get it: He’s undersized. Not a great athlete. Fell to the second round of the draft. Arrived in the league with many general managers wondering who he would guard. We’ve heard it all before.
