The NFL-AFL merger resulted in the first common draft in 1967.
Since that landmark agreement, there have been 51 drafts and each year at least one Michigan State player has been selected.
It's a streak that is matched by only four other schools (Michigan, Florida, Nebraska and USC) and the Spartans have had at least one player picked in every NFL draft since 1941. It's a 77-year streak that trails only USC and Michigan (79 years apiece), and one that's also in serious jeopardy.
"This year, nobody I think that is guaranteed a draft choice," ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.
