Mark Vassett hasn’t been inside a classroom for six years. Since graduating high school in 2014, he has worked as a cabinet maker for his uncle’s business and later as a glazier for Viking Glass.
He will be 24 years old when his freshman season with Michigan State football begins in 2021. And he has never stepped foot in the United States, let alone East Lansing.
Vassett shifted gears Friday when he committed to punt for the Spartans as a member of the 2021 recruiting class.
