CHICAGO — It’s a good thing Michigan State basketball experienced the unpredictable Big Ten all winter. It prepared Tom Izzo’s team for the long wait between Friday and Sunday.
Not that the Spartans shouldn’t feel comfortable they’ll get in the NCAA tournament — a 25th straight appearance is all but assured, and Tom Izzo will break a tie with Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski for the longest streak in Division I history of a single coach making the Big Dance at one school.
And MSU’s bracketing seems fairly locked in, most likely looking at a No. 7 seed but with a chance to drop a slot on the seed line after exiting the Big Ten tournament quarterfinals Friday with a 68-58 loss to Ohio State.
