East Lansing — Michigan State got some help for its frontcourt on Wednesday when UNLV transfer Ben Carter announced he was becoming a Spartan.
The 6-foot-9 forward will be eligible immediately.
“For those who have been waiting for my announcement. I’ll be heading to Michigan state next season to finish my college career,” Carter posted on Twitter.
Carter averaged 8.6 points, six rebounds and 1.4 blocks last season for the UNLV while playing 24 minutes a game. He played 22 games before suffering a torn ACL in January and missing the rest of the year.
