EAST LANSING - Tyler Higby learned a new position this year.
And, it didn't take long for the redshirt junior to rise to the top of the depth chart.
With No. 11 Michigan State in its final week of fall camp, Higby is working as the No. 1 center and becoming more comfortable in his new spot.
"In the spring, it was kind of a rough go at first learning the whole position and my first time snapping," he said Monday after practice, "so I think just getting more comfortable and knowing where to go and the footwork and the technique on how to do it from the center position has helped a lot.
