Less than a week after finishing high school, Jase Bowen and Adam Berghorst have big decisions in front of them.
Play college football at Michigan State or turn pro in baseball.
The two future two-sport Spartans were both selected during the MLB draft on Wednesday, and they will have until July 12 to sign a contract to begin a professional baseball career.
That would not preclude them from continuing to play football. Athletes can be a professional athlete in one sport and retain college eligibility in another, per NCAA rules. However, the time needed to play pro baseball would limit their offseason football training and classwork.
