EAST LANSING — Tough, clutch and dangerous coming out of the backfield, fullback Trevon Pendleton is a weapon in the Michigan State offense.
"Coach (Brad) Salem calls him the Ginsu knife," Spartans quarterback Connor Cook said. "He can cut block anyone, any time."
Or the 6-foot, 250-pound fifth-year senior can block would-be tacklers high or slip into the open and catch a pass. It doesn't matter much to Pendleton.
"Fullbacks are guys that like to get after it in the weight room, on the field and do whatever it takes, kind of a meat-head mentality," said Pendleton, who began his career as a walk on before being put on scholarship his redshirt freshman year.
