With the rest of the weekend off, Michigan State head basketball coach Tom Izzo is spending his time wisely getting some California sun and checking in on the nation’s No. 1 overall player for 2016, five-star shooting guard Josh Jackson.
According to Mike Wilson and Sean Scherer of 247Sports, the Spartans’ head coach left on a flight to San Francisco early Friday morning with assistant coach Dwayne Stephens to visit the No. 1 player in the country.
The report also states that Jackson has taken officials to Arizona and Kansas over the past couple of months and plans to visit Michigan State in the near future.
