Tom Izzo unloads on Michigan State's 'effortless approach' in loss to Penn State

PHILADELPHIA -- Tom Izzo brought his freshman-laden team to the Palestra on Saturday to face Pat Chambers' freshman-laden team.

Izzo decided to start all four of his freshmen, reinserting Miles Bridges into the starting five.

Chambers, Penn State's head coach, who typically starts three freshmen, decided to pull to pull one (Mike Watkins) out of the first five, replacing him with Julian Moore.

And then, over the next 40 minutes, all that youth ran around this old barn and dueled it out in front of 8,722 people. Penn State came out with a 72-63 win and, as it turns out, the deciding factor wasn't whose freshmen were better.
