ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Michigan State has been one of the few programs in college basketball to be praised for its adherence to the rules during an ongoing high profile federal corruption trial in New York.
But Spartans coach Tom Izzo doesn't think he deserves any praise for abiding by the rules of college basketball.
"I don't feel vindicated because you shouldn't be commended for doing what you're supposed to do," Izzo said on Thursday at Big Ten media day.
An attorney for would-be agent Christian Dawkins testified in federal court last week that "Michigan State was one of the only schools that was not going to pay Brian Bowen to go there.
