A long layoff continues to grow for Michigan State basketball.
Coach Tom Izzo on Monday said three more cases of COVID-19 were found Sunday, leading to the postponement of Saturday’s game against No. 24 Illinois.
It is the third straight game MSU called off due to COVID-19 issues in the men’s hoops program and fourth this season.

“If you would have seen the disappointment in my players eyes this morning when I told them we had to postpone another game, it was a struggle,” Izzo said.
