DES MOINES, Iowa —Tom Izzo’s plan for Aaron Henry this season involved maybe 15 minutes a game as a complementary piece to an experienced puzzle.
At one point in Thursday’s NCAA tournament opener, Henry’s on-court mistakes began to bother Izzo. So he looked down the bench for a sub. He saw Langford and Ahrens, a pair of juniors in walking boots.
He stuck with his freshman wing.
