EAST LANSING – The criminal case involving three Michigan State football players accused of sexual assault remains in limbo, but the Title IX investigation that found them in violation of MSU's policy on relationship violence and sexual misconduct is proceeding through the university’s judicial system.
It is one of two sexual assault cases involving MSU football players. Rising sophomore defensive end Auston Robertson was dismissed from the program after he was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct stemming from an April 8 incident in Meridian Township.
The Spartans have endured a number of other legal issues in the past nine months.
