EAST LANSING -- The parade of freshmen on the Spartan Stadium field may not be quite as prolific in 2017 as it was in 2016.
But if Michigan State's spring game on Saturday is any indication, the Spartans' youth movement isn't exactly over, either.
Michigan State started three freshmen in when its apparent first units took to the field in Saturday's annual intrasquad scrimmage, providing a glimpse into the newcomers most likely to make an impact this fall.

The most surprising starter of the afternoon may have been Josiah Scott, a freshman early enrollee who has been on campus for less than three months.
