EAST LANSING -- The snow around mid-Michigan has melted, just in time for a host of football prospects to make their way to East Lansing from around the country.
Thursday officially marked the beginning of the final open recruiting period before Class of 2017 signs letters of intent on Feb. 1. That means prospects have three weekends left, starting with this one, to make campus visits.
Most of Michigan State's committed 2017 prospects seem to have chosen this weekend to visit. Six of them have announced official visits this weekend: offensive lineman Kevin Jarvis, defensive lineman Lashawn Paulino, linebacker Darien Clemons, wide receiver Cody White, offensive lineman Jordan Reid and running back Weston Bridges.
