This Spartan beat Duke in 2005. Here's why he says it can happen again

Chris Hill is a former Michigan State basketball player from 2001-2005. The 6-foot-3 guard from Indianapolis led the Big Ten in 3-pointers made in 2003 and 2004. In Hill's senior season, the Spartans defeated Duke in the Sweet 16 en route to a Final Four appearance. It remains the only time in 12 tries that a Tom Izzo-coached team beat Mike Krzyzewski's Blue Devils. The Spartans take on Duke in the East Region final on Sunday in Washington.

Hill now lives in metro Detroit and works at the wholesale mortgage company United Shore. He wrote this column for the Free Press, sharing his experiences leading up to that 78-68 win in the regional semifinal in Austin, Texas.
