EAST LANSING - After his redshirt freshman season ended last year, Cam Chambers hit the film room.
The Michigan State wide receiver didn't just evaluate his own play, he re-learned the entire offense. Chambers studied all three receiver positions and coverage concepts. He broke down the offense from the view of the quarterback, protection from the linemen and responsibilities of the running back.
Now wrapping up his third year of spring practice, Chambers is emerging as a candidate to take over a bigger role in the offense and coaches have taken note of his progress.
"When the light comes on, you start to see how fast, how good, how athletic a person really is and you just have to wait until that happens," Michigan State wide receivers coach Terrence Samuel said.
