EAST LANSING – Across the street from the Breslin Center, a scalper stood on a corner, trying to drum up business.
“Any spare tickets?” he asked on Sunday morning, before Michigan State basketball’s 87-69 victory over Michigan.
“How much?” I asked.
“Forty,” he said. “Just to get in.”
“What is face value?” I asked.
“Twenty,” he said.
But I didn’t see anybody sell their tickets to him.
Why would you?
