Swim, dive push for reinstatement after SCOTUS rejects Michigan State's appeal

Advocates for the Michigan State swimming and diving programs again are calling for reinstatement following the Supreme Court's Monday rejection to hear the university's appeal on a Title IX ruling.

The case was one of many the high court rejected Monday morning. As is typical, the justices didn’t comment in turning away the case.

Michigan State, per a lower-court ruling, now has 14 days to come up with a plan to get in compliance with student-athlete participation numbers, which female student-athletes sued over following Michigan State's decision to eliminate the women's and men's swimming and diving programs in October 2020.
