The summer of 2018 was a good one Terry Armstrong.
The Flint native averaged better than 20 points per game in Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League, shooting nearly 50 percent from the field in what's considered the top summer youth basketball circuit in the country.
He saw his recruiting ranking rise, going from outside the top 100 players in the country to just outside the top 50, at No. 54 in the 247sports composite as of this week.
He picked up seven new scholarship offers, including from Michigan State, Arizona and Oregon.
That summer almost didn't happen.
