NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Two goals from Mitchell Lewandowski and three points from Jerad Rosburg bolstered Michigan State hockey to a 4-3 upset win over No. 5/3 Notre Dame Saturday night at Notre Dame’s Compton Family Arena. The victory for MSU spoiled what was set up to be a celebratory night for Notre Dame, as it was Irish Senior Night, as well as raising their Big Ten Conference regular-season banner.
Michigan State never led until the third period, and was a goal down on three different occasions, but the scrappy Spartans never backed down.
