From Izzo to the Red Cross to fans of MSU and parents of Georgia's players, Sunday's exhibition benefited many
GRAND RAPIDS — Michigan State coach Tom Izzo stood at half court, holding a microphone, looking up at a place he is now calling “Breslin West.”
“This is an unbelievable situation,” Izzo said, before MSU beat Georgia, 80-68, on Sunday afternoon in an unusual preseason exhibition at Van Andel Arena. “Honest to God, I told a lot of people I didn’t think there was any way we could sell this out in such a short period of time.
